Field/Robot Technician

About the job

We are looking for a technician to perform and support in-field robotic inspection operations throughout North America. The individual will be responsible for carrying out inspections with a robotic crawler which will include operation of the robot, ensuring data integrity, and navigating power plant and industrial environments. The individual will play a key role in ensuring customer needs are met. When not in the field, the individual will be responsible for maintaining electromechanical equipment including gears/motors, cameras, actuators, control boxes, cables, etc.

  • Operate, maintain, configure, troubleshoot, repair, and mobilize/demobilize robotic inspection tools and equipment
  • Interface with customer representatives and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance to schedule
  • Solicit and relay customer feedback for the purposes of improving quality and scope of services
  • Complete trip reports, expense reports, and other paperwork covering activities in the field
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of technical details of company service offerings and tools
  • Read and interpret instructions, schematics, and assembly drawings with limited supervision
  • Inspect parts for defects and assemble per instructions and/or assembly drawings
  • Solder electrical components and wiring
  • Route and fasten cables & wiring per manufacturing standards
  • Tag or mark identifying information on components or assemblies
  • Measure, mix & apply a variety of chemicals and adhesives
  • Use hand drill, drill press, grinder and other assembly tools as required
  • Document issues with documentation package found during assembly
  • Inspect and test completed assemblies & sub-assemblies
  • Perform other activities as directed

  • Travel percentage: Field Inspections 50-70% during spring/fall and ~10% summer/winter (all domestic for now)

Essential Functions
  • Works closely with a multi-disciplinary team to design precision electro-mechanical systems.

EHS Officer

EHS Officer

About the job

We are looking for an EHS Officer who can demonstrate extensive working knowledge of regulatory requirements in the manufacturing, power and refinery industries, have excellent communication skills both written and oral with an emphasis on public speaking and presentations and have a strong working knowledge of principles of accident prevention, root cause analysis, loss control and risk identification to safety programs.

  • Develops and implements EHS policies, standards, guidelines and programs to meet the overall strategy for the prevention and control of EHS risks to include, prevention of injuries, hygiene, clean air and clean water act compliance, records and permits, hazardous waste and EPA compliance, wastewater operations.
  • Assures compliance of company operations to all applicable laws regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures to include knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations and statues related to individual company locations.
  • Maintain Gecko’s Grade-A standing in ISNetworld and Avetta.
  • Re-enforce daily safe working practice by employees and contractors as per procedure.
  • Assist in new employee and contractor EHS orientation training.
  • Compile, analyze, interpret, and report accidents, near miss and routine inspection result.
  • Maintain all EHS record keeping and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate and facilitate routine general condition inspection.
  • Train employees on all necessary EHS programs, policies, and procedures.

We are looking for a Controller who can demonstrate extensive working knowledge of accounting, finance, tax matters, and GAAP compliance. Candidate must have excellent analytical, communication and problem solving skills. The controller will have a wide purview of all things finance and accounting as the first dedicated finance professional and will be crucial to enabling the company’s growth plans and buildout of the finance organization.

  • Accounting operations, financial reporting, managing domestic and international audits, treasury management, tax prep/compliance with our CPA firm, oversee automated payroll system, and development of supply chain and purchasing processes.
  • Manage and improve month-end close activities. Create journal entries, account reconciliations, roll-forwards, and variance analysis. Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies.
  • Contribute to implementations of additional accounting, purchasing and reporting infrastructure and pair with engineering departments to test assumptions and validate data.

About the job

We are looking for a marketing specialist to bring what Gecko Robotics (a Y Combinator company) has to offer to the world! The individual will be responsible for understanding customer needs, developing the marketing strategy for our different markets and service offerings, analyzing marketing data to help shape future marketing strategies, and drive initiatives to reach target audiences (social media, email, conferences, magazines ect...). The individual will play a key role in increasing revenue.

  • Entrepreneurially minded to think about the business and penetrate the market to grow sales
  • Manage marketing for all medias including digital, website/inbound, trade shows, industry publications and direct outreach
  • Evaluate customer success stories to develop case studies, videos, testimonials, and presentations for trade shows
  • Meet team sales targets
  • Attend meetings, company events and trainings to keep informed of the latest developments
  • Report and provide feedback to management using statistical data
What we're looking for
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of experience
  • Proven experience as a marketing specialist or similar role
  • Through understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/Social Media ect...) and market research methods
  • Self-Starter, Results-Driven, Customer Service
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • Exceptional communication and written skills
  • Commercial awareness partnered with a creative mind
  • Plus if previous experience in power or related heavy industry and an understanding of how plants operate, handle outages, etc.
  • Plus if knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web development tools (eg Dreamweaver)
  • Plus if proficient with Adobe CreativeSuite, Microsoft Office, CRM, Web analytics,Google Adwords
