The number of incidents of dry scrubbers failing by a variety of corrosion and erosion damage mechanisms is growing. Through ultrasound and visual inspections, our robots can inspect both the cones and vertical walls to identify patterns of wall thinning. This information can then be used to target areas in need of repair.
Using high quality ultrasonic testing probes, inspectors utilize robots to gather thickness data around the complete surface of the scrubber. Robots move at speeds up to 12” per second and adapt to any direction needed to navigate the vessel by adhering to the scrubber magnetically, removing the need for costly scaffolding.
